Long and short term online or outdoor therapy for teens and young adults.

A Covid19 Update: These are times of high anxiety, people are worried about their health and well being, their families and their finances. As we move in and out of isolation, loneliness and depression are sky rocketing. I want you to know I am available to help, no worry is too small. Contact me to find out how I can help you or the young person in your life.

About me and my approach

Adolescence can be one of the most tumultuous times in a person’s life. Teenagers and young adults are figuring out who they are, separate from their parents, trying out new roles, seeing what fits and what doesn’t. There are conflicting messages from adults, peers and the media that make this time even more difficult to negotiate. Sometimes they just need someone to listen and accept them. Sometimes their troubles are a little more complex. Either way therapy can help them navigate these choppy waters.

My aim is to understand my clients, how they fit into the world and perhaps help them to see themselves and their place more clearly. My approach is gentle and entirely non-judgmental.

I have a specific masters degree in child and adolescent psychotherapy from the University of Cambridge and I am currently working on line or offering short courses of therapy in the outdoors.

I have been working in the mental health field with young people since 2009 when I worked for a wilderness therapy program in the US. I find teens and young adults wonderful to work with because there is still so much hope and possibility for significant growth.

Some of the issues I work with: Anxiety, Depression, Low Self-esteem, Drug and Alcohol Use and Misuse, Suicidality, Self Harm, Trauma, Abuse, Bereavement, Eco-anxiety,
